ABB ACS580 — 3220 DC Link Undervoltage
Occurs when the DC-link voltage drops below the lower limit. Triggered by supply sag, phase loss or rectifier/capacitor issues.

Symptoms
- 3220 on power-up or when load is applied
- Frequent trips during supply fluctuations
- Unexpected stop under load
Probable Causes
- Supply voltage sag or brief interruption
- Input phase loss
- Weak/dried-out DC-link capacitors
- Undersized supply / long cable run
Checkpoints
- Measure supply voltage under load
- Verify input phases and fuses
- Read DC-link voltage from the panel
- Assess supply transformer/cable capacity
Solution
If mains and connections are healthy, dried-out electrolytic capacitors cause the DC link to collapse under load; the board is repaired by recapping in the lab.
