Delta MS300 — ocA Overcurrent During Acceleration
Occurs when the drive detects overcurrent during acceleration. Too-short accel time or high current from the motor/cable are typical causes.
Updated: 2026-07-04
Symptoms
- ocA fault only during acceleration
- Repeated trip on high-inertia loads
- No issue at no-load; fault under load
Probable Causes
- Too-short acceleration time (Pr.01-12)
- Motor cable short / ground fault
- Wrong V/F curve or insufficient torque boost
Checkpoints
- Increase accel time (Pr.01-12) gradually
- Measure motor cable insulation
- Check V/F curve and torque boost
Solution
If ocA keeps recurring with a healthy cable/motor, the current-sensing circuit (shunt/hall sensor) should be inspected in the lab.
