Mitsubishi FR-A800 — E.OC1 Overcurrent During Acceleration

Occurs when output current exceeds the limit during acceleration. Short accel time or high motor/cable current is typical.

Symptoms

  • E.OC1 during acceleration
  • Recurs on high-inertia loads
  • Occurs with the motor connected

Probable Causes

  • Too-short acceleration time (Pr.7)
  • Motor cable short
  • Excessive torque boost (Pr.0)

Checkpoints

  • Increase acceleration time (Pr.7)
  • Measure motor cable insulation
  • Reduce torque boost (Pr.0)

Solution

If cable/motor are healthy, the output stage (IGBT) or current-sensing circuit is inspected in the lab.
