Mitsubishi FR-A800 — E.OV1 DC Bus Overvoltage

Occurs when the DC bus exceeds the upper limit. Fast deceleration and regenerative energy are the main causes.

Symptoms

  • E.OV1 on deceleration
  • Recurs on high-inertia loads
  • Occurs when supply is high

Probable Causes

  • Too-short deceleration time (Pr.8)
  • No brake resistor/unit
  • Supply overvoltage

Checkpoints

  • Increase deceleration time (Pr.8)
  • Check the brake unit/resistor
  • Measure supply voltage

Solution

First extend the deceleration time; add a brake unit for frequent stops.
