Siemens SINAMICS G120 — F30004 Power Unit Overtemperature
Occurs when the heatsink temperature exceeds the limit. Poor cooling, a clogged fan or high ambient temperature are the main causes.

- F30004 after prolonged operation
- Frequent in summer / hot cabinets
- Fan noise weak or absent
Probable Causes
- Cooling fan faulty or clogged with dust
- Cabinet, filter or air duct blockage
- High ambient temperature
- Continuous operation at overload
Checkpoints
- Verify the fan spins and airflow is present
- Clean the heatsink and fan blades
- Measure cabinet ventilation and ambient temp
- Review the load/current profile
Solution
A faulty fan is replaced with an original equivalent. If a temperature sensor/measurement fault is suspected, the board is tested in the lab.
