Yaskawa A1000 — ov DC Bus Overvoltage

Occurs when the DC bus exceeds the upper limit. Fast deceleration and regenerative energy are the main causes.

Symptoms

  • ov on deceleration
  • Recurs on high-inertia loads
  • Occurs when supply is high

Probable Causes

  • Too-short decel time (C1-02)
  • No brake resistor/unit
  • Supply overvoltage

Checkpoints

  • Increase decel time (C1-02)
  • Check the brake unit
  • Measure supply voltage

Solution

Stall-prevention (L3) settings and decel time are the first checkpoints; frequent stops need a brake unit.
